Traditional culture – The fulcrum of sustainable development
Vietnam has a thousand years of civilization and a heroic history of fighting to build and defend the country, forming a national cultural identity with unique features and a special appeal. One of the "national souls" that creates difference and depth in Vietnamese culture is the traditional Ao Dai - a beauty associated with the heroic years of the nation until today. Throughout history, Ao Dai has undergone many changes but still stands the test of time and retains its traditional features, becoming a symbol associated with the gentle, elegant image of Vietnamese women.
For over a decade of pursuing an educational career, Ms. Thu Hang has always appeared with Ao Dai at all domestic and international events. When talking about her, people remember the image of a gentle and graceful woman in a Vietnamese Ao Dai combined with the bravery of a person born and raised in a city named after a flower - the Red Flamboyant. She firmly believed that traditional culture is the fulcrum of sustainable development.

Sustainable development - The country's and business community's efforts
In the trend of integration and development, leaders worldwide have prioritized green transformation for businesses. In addition to focusing on economic development, the Vietnamese Government affirms that it will pursue and call for the consensus of companies to achieve the goal of sustainable development. In the Socio-Economic Development Strategy 2021-2030, with a vision to 2045, the Resolution of the 13th Party Congress also clearly stated: "Rapid and sustainable development relies mainly on science and technology, innovation and digital transformation." At the same time, be steadfast with the path and goal of comprehensive development - sustainable development.
Proactively grasping and creatively applying the state's guidelines and policies, when the COVID-19 pandemic ends, businesses have reshaped their strategies and reached out to the big ocean. As VIETSTAR CEO, and with a desire to bring global knowledge to Vietnam since school, Ms. Thu Hang has mapped out clear strategic directions focusing on training and consulting towards sustainable development.
Referring to sustainable solutions for the business community in recent times, we cannot mention the Vietnam - Singapore Board Forum (VSBF) in cooperation with Singapore Management University (SMU), the International Board of Directors Program in collaboration with the Singapore Institute of Directors (SID); Mini MBA in Energy and Sustainability in cooperation with leading Asian universities in the coming period,... or consulting solutions to help Vietnamese businesses gradually incorporate sustainability into core business activities and implementation of ESG strategy.
Among those initiatives, VSBF is one that she is passionate about and puts a lot of effort into. "The similarity in culture, history, will, and desire to rise has fostered the bilateral relationship between Vietnam and Singapore over the past five decades. VSBF inherits those good values and aspires to bring Southeast Asian and worldwide leaders together to share experiences in governing, promoting sustainable growth, balancing business and social responsibility towards a greener world," - Ms. Thu Hang shared.

Sustainable development – The journey ahead
Achieving the goal of sustainable development in each organization and business is a collective effort to create better values for stakeholders, employees, and the social community. This effort resonates when the enterprise has pioneering leaders with deep expertise in management and an understanding of global challenges.
Thanks to the state, businesses, and the community's joint efforts, in 2023, Vietnam has responded flexibly and effectively neutralized "headwinds" to continue the positive and stable recovery trend and promote macroeconomic stability and growth. However, according to experts and financial institutions, the world economy will continue to grow less than expected in the coming years and face many challenges.
Consistent with the journey ahead, VIETSTAR will continue to promote the Vietnam - Singapore Board Forum (VSBF) to become a pioneering Forum in sustainable development in the region. At the same time, specialized consulting solutions on green transformation and world-class training programs according to international standards will support Vietnamese leaders to improve their management capacity to 'steer' their organizations through every problematic period, ready to face challenges and fluctuations towards inclusive growth and sustainable development.
The results of that journey are drawn from the grave and dedicated work of Ms. Thu Hang and a group of excellent lecturers and consultants who have accompanied her since her starting days 16 years ago.
