On June 10, 2026, under Decision No. 198-QD/TW, the Politburo decided to establish the Central Steering Committee on Foreign Affairs and International Integration.
According to Decision No. 198-QD/TW, the Central Steering Committee on Foreign Affairs and International Integration (hereafter referred to as the Steering Committee) has been established, comprising 37 members.
General Secretary of the Central Committee of the Communist Party, President of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam To Lam serves as the Head of the Steering Committee.
Politburo Member, Prime Minister Le Minh Hung serves as the Standing Deputy Head of the Steering Committee.
The Deputy Heads of the Steering Committee include Politburo Member, Chairman of the National Assembly Tran Thanh Man; Politburo Member, Standing Member of the Secretariat Tran Cam Tu.
Politburo Member, Minister of Foreign Affairs Le Hoai Trung serves as the Standing Member of the Steering Committee.
Additionally, members of the Steering Committee include Politburo Members: Bui Thi Minh Hoai, Secretary of the Party Central Committee, Chairwoman of the Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front; Nguyen Duy Ngoc, Secretary of the Party Central Committee, Head of the Central Organization Commission; Trinh Van Quyet, Secretary of the Party Central Committee, Head of the Party Central Committee's Commission for Information, Education and Mass Mobilisation; Le Minh Tri, Secretary of the Party Central Committee, Head of the Central Internal Affairs Commission; Tran Sy Thanh, Secretary of the Party Central Committee, Chairman of the Party Central Committee's Inspection Commission; Nguyen Thanh Nghi, Secretary of the Party Central Committee, Head of the Party Central Committee's Policy and Strategy Commission; Pham Gia Tuc, Permanent Deputy Prime Minister, Member of the Steering Committee, concurrently Head of the Intersectoral Working Group on Foreign Affairs and International Integration in Economics and Science-Technology; Phan Van Giang, Deputy Prime Minister, Minister of National Defense, Member of the Steering Committee, concurrently Head of the Intersectoral Working Group on Foreign Affairs and International Integration in Politics, Defense, Security; Luong Tam Quang, Minister of Public Security; Doan Minh Huan, President of the Ho Chi Minh National Academy of Politics; Tran Duc Thang, Party Secretary of Hanoi; Tran Luu Quang, Politburo Member, Party Secretary of Ho Chi Minh City.
Also participating in the Steering Committee is Comrade Pham Thi Thanh Tra, Secretary of the Party Central Committee, Deputy Prime Minister, Member of the Steering Committee, concurrently Head of the Intersectoral Working Group on Foreign Affairs and International Integration in Culture, Society, Education-Training.
Among the members of the Steering Committee are also Party Central Committee Members: Le Tan Toi, Chairman of the National Assembly's Committee on Defense, Security, and Foreign Affairs; Nguyen Hai Ninh, Chief of the Central Office of the Party; Ngo Van Tuan, Minister of Finance; Trinh Viet Hung, Minister of Agriculture and Environment; Vu Hai Quan, Minister of Science and Technology; Do Thanh Binh, Minister of Home Affairs; Tran Hong Minh, Minister of Construction; Lam Thi Phuong Thanh, Minister of Culture, Sports and Tourism; Hoang Minh Son, Minister of Education and Training; Le Manh Hung, Minister of Industry and Trade; Hoang Thanh Tung, Minister of Justice; Dao Hong Lan, Minister of Health; Nguyen Dinh Khang, Minister of Ethnic and Religious Affairs; Pham Duc An, Governor of the State Bank of Vietnam; Le Ngoc Chau, Party Secretary of Hai Phong; Le Ngoc Quang, Party Secretary of Da Nang; Le Quang Tung, Party Secretary of Can Tho; Nguyen Dinh Trung, Party Secretary of Hue; Vu Hong Van, Party Secretary of Dong Nai.
The functions, tasks, powers, working regime, and working relationships of the Steering Committee are implemented according to the regulations of the Politburo.
