The International Russian Language Olympiad for foreign students has a history of over 40 years and is the world's most prestigious platform for Russian language proficiency and Russian cultural knowledge.

In Vietnam, the competition is organized with close cooperation between the Pushkin Sub-Institute in Hanoi, specialized Russian universities, and support from the Vietnamese Ministry of Education and Training.

According to the Deputy Director of the Department of International Cooperation, with the participation of over 700 Vietnamese students nationwide, the competition plays a significant role in promoting Russian language education and enhancing cultural and educational exchanges between Vietnam and Russia.

This is not only a test of language knowledge but also a bridge for students to explore the beauty of Russian culture, from the timeless works of Pushkin and Tolstoy to the glorious historical heritage of the Russian nation.

The successful outcome of today's competition is the result of close cooperation and efforts from both Russian and Vietnamese sides, including experts and lecturers from the A.S. Pushkin State Russian Language Institute, the Pushkin Sub-Institute in Hanoi, and support from the Russian Embassy in Hanoi.

The Deputy Director of the International Cooperation Department also extended sincere thanks to the Russian Federation’s Ministry of Science and Higher Education, the Russian Embassy in Vietnam, the A.S. Pushkin National Russian Language Institute, the Pushkin Branch, the schools, experts, and teachers — and especially the parents — who have always been a strong support, encouraging and providing the best conditions for the students to participate and demonstrate their capabilities.

"We hope that the experiences from the competition will become valuable assets, nurturing a love for the Russian language and opening opportunities for study, research, and international cooperation at Russia's leading universities. The Department of International Cooperation, Vietnamese Ministry of Education and Training, is committed to accompanying schools, teachers, and students in seeking and expanding overseas training opportunities," Mr. Nguyen Tien Dung stated.
