During the meeting, Ambassador Trinh Duc Hai highly appreciated the role of the OECD Development Centre in promoting policy dialogue, sharing experiences, and supporting member countries, including Vietnam, in developing sustainable development policies.
The Ambassador affirmed that Vietnam considers the OECD in general and the OECD Development Centre in particular as important partners in building an independent and self-reliant economy, deeply integrating internationally, and promoting rapid and sustainable growth based on science and technology, innovation, digital transformation, private sector development, and enhancing labor productivity.
The Ambassador expressed his desire for the OECD Development Centre to share information on the Centre's future directions and priorities, emphasizing that developing countries like Vietnam wish to more effectively leverage the resources, knowledge, and cooperative networks of the Development Centre to serve national development goals.

For her part, the Director of the Development Centre appreciated Vietnam's active participation in the activities of this agency, while noting that recent OECD studies and assessments have recognized Vietnam's significant progress in socio-economic reforms, promoting gender equality, and sustainable development.
Ms. Ragnheidur Elin Arnadottir emphasized that the Centre wishes to further strengthen cooperation with the Asian region, expanding collaboration with Vietnam in areas such as production transformation, green and fair transition, social welfare, development of the startup and innovation ecosystem, addressing population aging, and enhancing the quality of development policies.
Both sides agreed to continue exchanges and strengthen coordination to effectively exploit the existing cooperation mechanisms between Vietnam and the OECD Development Centre, thereby making practical contributions to Vietnam's development goals in the coming period.
