Algerian Ambassador presented copy of Letter of Credentials to State Protocol Department
On December 20, Ambassador Nguyen Viet Dung, Director of the State Protocol Department received a copy of the Letter of Credentials from the President of the People’s Democratic Republic of Algeria appointing Mr. Abdelhamid Boubazine as the Algerian Ambassador to Viet Nam.

Speaking at the meeting, Mr. Nguyen Viet Dung congratulated Mr. Abdelhamid Boubazine on his appointment as Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Algeria to Viet Nam. He also wished that Amb. Abdelhamid, along with his experiences, will continue to promote and deepen the traditional friendship between Viet Nam and Algeria.

The Director of the State Protocol Department said that the year 2022 is the 60th anniversary of Algeria's independence and also the 60th anniversary of the establishment of Viet Nam-Algeria diplomatic relations. To mark this year of great historical significance, Viet Nam and Algeria will certainly hold many commemorative activities in many fields.
For his part, Ambassador Abdelhamid Boubazine thanked Director Nguyen Viet Dung for taking his time for this meeting. He updated on the recent economic and political relations between the two countries and the positive developments of the bilateral relations.
The Algerian Ambassador also proposed a number of measures to strengthen the traditional friendship between the two countries, especially in the year 2022 to come.
Ambassador Nguyen Viet Dung affirmed that the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the State Protocol Department, and the Middle East - Africa Department are always ready to cooperate, coordinate and create favorable conditions for the Ambassador to successfully complete his working term in Viet Nam.
