Thai Prime Minister Srettha Thavisin emphasized that over the past five decades, ASEAN has become a pillar of regional peace and stability. This allows ASEAN to promote socio-economic development. ASEAN is currently the world's fifth largest economy and is widely recognized as a supporter of regionalism and multilateralism.

According to the Thai Prime Minister, building on regional potentials, ASEAN should aim for a more connected, sustainable, united and resilient ASEAN to achieve the future as expected. A more connected ASEAN is the key to realizing the region's full potential and enhancing comprehensive competitiveness.
