On the morning of April 9, the official welcome ceremony for Politburo Member and Standing Member of the Secretariat Tran Cam Tu, along with the high-ranking Vietnamese delegation, took place at the Headquarters of the Lao People's Revolutionary Party in the capital Vientiane.
Politburo Member and Standing Member of the Secretariat of the Lao People's Revolutionary Party Vilay Lakhamphong presided over the ceremony.
The convoy carrying Politburo Member and Standing Member of the Secretariat Tran Cam Tu entered the Headquarters of the Lao People's Revolutionary Party. Politburo Member Vilay Lakhamphong greeted Politburo Member and Standing Member of the Secretariat Tran Cam Tu at the car door.
Politburo Member and Standing Member of the Secretariat of the Lao People's Revolutionary Party Vilay Lakhamphong invited Politburo Member and Standing Member of the Secretariat Tran Cam Tu to review the honour guard.
Subsequently, Politburo Member and Standing Member of the Secretariat Vilay Lakhamphong and Politburo Member and Standing Member of the Secretariat Tran Cam Tu warmly greeted and introduced the officials from both countries present at the ceremony.
After the official welcome ceremony, at the Headquarters of the Lao People's Revolutionary Party, Politburo Member and Standing Member of the Secretariat Vilay Lakhamphong and Politburo Member and Standing Member of the Secretariat Tran Cam Tu held talks.

Earlier that morning, immediately upon arriving in the capital Vientiane, Politburo Member and Standing Member of the Secretariat Tran Cam Tu and the high-ranking Vietnamese delegation laid a wreath at the Monument of Unknown Soldiers in the capital Vientiane, in memory and gratitude to the outstanding sons of the Lao people who fell in the struggle for liberation, protection, and construction of Laos.
