Vietnamese students win 20 prizes at video contest in China

Vietnamese students have won 20 awards, including five first prizes, a second prize and some third prizes, at a video contest held in China for students from South Asian countries.

Notably, Dang Thi Thao Tien, a student from Ho Chi Minh City University of Education, was granted a scholarship for master's at Tianjin Normal University thanks to her video products.

The contest themed "Me and China" was organised by the Ministry of Education of China, the ASEAN-China Centre, and several universities in Beijing, Hebei province, and Tianjin city.

This contest, the second edition, saw 102 entries from Vietnamese students.

Representatives from Tianjin Normal University, the contest's host, said the university wishes to strengthen cooperation with Vietnamese educational establishments. A total of 129 Vietnamese students are attending courses at the university.
