Vietnam welcomes ceasefire agreement between Israel and Hamas: Spokesperson
WVR - On October 14, in response to a reporter's question regarding Vietnam's reaction to the official ceasefire agreement adopted between Israel and Hamas, Foreign Ministry's Spokesperson Pham Thu Hang stated:

"Vietnam welcomes the Israel – Hamas agreement aimed at ending the ongoing conflict in the Gaza Strip soon and highly values countries' mediation and reconciliation efforts that helped achieve this agreement."
We urge the parties involved to strictly adhere to the agreement, thereby creating conditions for the achievement of the two-state solution and moving towards a sustainable and lasting peace solution for the Palestinian issue.
Vietnam supports and stands ready to actively contribute to international efforts to rebuild the Gaza Strip, based on respect for national sovereignty and the principles of international law, as well as the legitimate rights of the Palestinian people."
