Ambassador Dang Minh Khoi led the Vietnamese Embassy delegation to the Flower Offering Ceremony at Ho Chi Minh Square, presided over the awarding of the Friendship Order and Friendship Medal of the State of Vietnam to several city leaders, attended and spoke at the seminar on people-to-people diplomacy and Vietnam Economic Day, participated in the Book Exhibition, along with many other cultural, educational, and people-to-people exchange activities.
The event also saw the participation and organizational collaboration of many agencies and organizations from Vietnam: Hanoi City People's Council, Vietnam Education Publishing House, Vietnam Writers' Association, Vietnam Cultural Industry Development Association, among others.
Governor of Saint Petersburg Alexander Beglov sent a recorded message to Vietnam Week, affirming that Vietnam-Russia relations have withstood the test of time and that Saint Petersburg will continue to actively contribute to economic, scientific, and educational cooperation with Vietnamese localities. Many Russian scholars, experts, and businesses believe that the potential for cooperation between the two countries remains vast, especially as Vietnam is experiencing robust growth and increasingly asserting its position in the region.

In meetings and seminars, Ambassador Dang Minh Khoi repeatedly emphasized that Saint Petersburg holds a special significance in the history of Vietnam-Russia relations, being a place President Ho Chi Minh once visited during his journey to seek national salvation and remains a "red address" in the hearts of many generations of Vietnamese people.
The Ambassador affirmed that the traditional friendship and comprehensive strategic partnership between Vietnam and the Russian Federation are not only built on the foundation of political and economic cooperation but are also nurtured by sincere feelings, understanding, and bonds between the peoples of the two countries over many generations.
The Ambassador highly appreciated the role of the Vietnamese community, intellectuals, businesses, and former Russian experts who have been attached to Vietnam in preserving and passing on the traditional friendship values between the two nations.

At seminars and forums, Vietnamese delegates and speakers shared messages about a dynamic, innovative, and deeply integrated Vietnam, while expressing a desire to continue promoting substantive cooperation with Saint Petersburg and other Russian localities in the fields of economy, education, science, culture, and people-to-people exchanges.
Within the framework of Vietnam Week, numerous cultural, educational, and people-to-people exchange activities were also enthusiastically organized, such as photo exhibitions, book exhibitions, Vietnamese cuisine introductions, cultural exchanges, and a Vietnamese Language Festival for Russian students.

Through experiential activities such as singing in Vietnamese, bamboo dancing, Dong Ho painting printing, conical hat coloring, or enjoying traditional dishes, many Russian friends had the opportunity to gain a deeper understanding of Vietnam's land, people, and culture. Many delegates and attendees shared that Vietnam is perceived not only through historical stories but also through its closeness, sincerity, and rich cultural identity.

On this occasion, on behalf of the State of Vietnam, Ambassador Dang Minh Khoi awarded the Friendship Order to Vice Chairman of the Legislative Assembly of Saint Petersburg Nikolai Bondarenko and Chairman of the Foreign Affairs Committee Evgeny Grigoriev, and the Friendship Medal to Deputy Chairman of the Foreign Affairs Committee Vyacheslav Kalganov, in recognition of their positive and enduring contributions to promoting cooperative relations with Vietnam, enhancing people-to-people exchanges, and fostering the traditional friendship between the two countries.
The awarding ceremony took place in a solemn, warm, and meaningful atmosphere, reflecting the appreciation for individuals who have made significant contributions to the comprehensive strategic partnership between Vietnam and the Russian Federation.
Vice Chairman of the Legislative Assembly of Saint Petersburg Nikolai Bondarenko, on behalf of the individuals receiving the Orders and Medals, expressed gratitude, deep emotions, and affection for Vietnam, affirming that the recognition by the State of Vietnam is not only a vivid symbol of trust, attachment, and companionship between the peoples of the two countries over many decades but also a great motivation for Russians who love Vietnam to continue passing on their love to future generations.

With the enthusiastic response from the authorities, scholars, businesses, and people of Saint Petersburg, Vietnam Week 2026 made a significant impact on the residents of Saint Petersburg and contributed to spreading the image of Vietnam's land and people, deepening the traditional friendship between Vietnam and the Russian Federation, and opening up many new cooperation prospects between Vietnam and Saint Petersburg in particular and the Russian Federation in general in the coming time.
