Vietnam extended sympathy to RoK over serious losses caused by floods

Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh on August 10 sent a message of sympathy to his Korean counterpart Han Duck-soo over the huge loss in human lives and assets caused by heavy-rain-induced floods in a number of localities in the Republic of Korea.

On the same day, Minister of Foreign Affairs Bui Thanh Son also extended his sympathy to his Korean counterpart, Foreign Minister Park Jin.

Sixteen people have been confirmed dead or missing and more than 2,500 homes and buildings were flooded in this week's record rainfall that battered Seoul and elsewhere in the central and eastern regions, Korean officials said on August 10, as reported by the RoK’s news agency Yonhap.
