Since the first case of suspected virus infection in the Vietnamese community in Moscow was announced late March, the number of OVs infected with the virus in the Vietnamese community in Russia, especially in Moscow, has increased rapidly.

According to the embassy's steering committee on COVID-19 prevention and control, as of April 15, about 100 OVs in Russia had been hospitalized for treatment of common pneumonia and pneumonia caused by the virus.

Of these, at least 80 cases in Moscow have been confirmed positive for SARS-CoV-2. Notably, many of them have been told to be treated at home because of their stable health conditions.

The embassy has regularly updated the Vietnamese community on relevant information and provided support when needed.

As of April 15, Russia had confirmed 24,490 cases of COVID-19 nationwide, including 198 deaths.

In the face of overloading in hospitals and health centers in Moscow, the Russian government has launched more treatment centers.
