Vietnam and Iran agree to expand sustainable cooperation: Deputy Foreign Minister

Welcoming Deputy Minister Vahid Jalalzadeh and the Iranian delegation to Vietnam, Deputy Minister Nguyen Minh Hang affirmed that Vietnam always values the traditional friendship and multifaceted cooperation with Iran, ready to coordinate with the Iranian Ministry of Foreign Affairs to implement specific cooperation programs.
Both sides expressed delight at the positive developments in Vietnam-Iran relations in recent times, while affirming that both countries have ample room and potential to expand practical, effective, and sustainable cooperation in the future.
Agreeing to enhance exchanges at all levels, especially high-level, in Vietnam, Iran, and on the occasion of multilateral forums and conferences, the two sides also coordinate with each other at multilateral forums where both are members.
The two Deputy Ministers affirmed the prompt promotion of bilateral cooperation mechanisms, including Political Consultations and the Vietnam-Iran Joint Committee, as well as the restoration of Joint Working Groups between the two countries.
For his part, Iranian Deputy Foreign Minister Vahid Jalalzadeh congratulated Vietnam on successfully organizing the Hanoi Signing Ceremony, considering it a clear testament to Vietnam's readiness to assume more important international roles in the future, contributing to global peace, security, and development.
Deputy Minister Jalalzadeh emphasized that the Iranian people hold deep affection and admiration for Vietnam and President Ho Chi Minh. He affirmed that Iran always values the traditional friendship with Vietnam and wishes to continue promoting multifaceted cooperation, particularly in the fields of trade, investment, science and technology, education, and cultural exchange.
