The new route connecting Vietnam’s coastal city of Nha Trang to the RoK’s fourth-largest city of Daegu is scheduled to commence operation on October 27, 2024, with seven round-trip flights per week, affirming the airline’s largest flight network between Vietnam and the RoK.

The announcement ceremony took place at the Vietnam-RoK Tourism Promotion and Cultural Cooperation Forum with the witness of Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh, along with senior leaders from both nations on the occasion of the Vietnamese Prime Minister’s official visit to the RoK.

To commemorate the milestone, Vietjet is offering an anniversary promotion week from July 1 to July 7, 2024, featuring tens of thousands of tickets between Vietnam and the RoK starting as low as 0 VND. The promotional tickets are available at www.vietjetair.com and the Vietjet Air mobile app for flights from August 22, 2024, to May 22, 2025.

Since its inaugural flight linking the two capitals - Hanoi and Seoul in July 2014, Vietjet, over the past decade, has continually expanded its flight network, transporting ten million passengers across over 37 regular and charter services between the two countries, and this number continues to grow steadily. The airline has played a pivotal role in facilitating convenient travel between the two countries, significantly boosting economic, investment, tourism, and cultural exchange relations.

Vietjet’s extensive flight network between Vietnam and the RoK seamlessly links Ho Chi Minh City, Hanoi, Hai Phong, Da Nang, Nha Trang, Phu Quoc, and Da Lat with Seoul, Busan, and Daegu.

In 2023, Vietnam welcomed 12.6 million international visitors, with a staggering 3.6 million arriving from the RoK alone, solidifying the RoK as Vietnam's largest and most significant foreign market.

The new Daegu – Nha Trang route not only connects these two destinations but also expands Vietjet's network across Vietnam and internationally to destinations in Australia, India, Northeast Asia, and Southeast Asia, creating more opportunities for cultural exchange, education, economic development, and tourism between nations.
