Under a recently-made decision by the provincial administration, besides Ha Long Bay, travelers can also make an excursion to other tourist attractions in Quang Ninh, including Yen Tu relic complex and Tra Co-Mong Cai national tourist site.
Business establishments, wholesale and retail services, hotels, restaurants, bars, golf courses and tour operators were also allowed to resume normal operation.
Beaches are only allowed to welcome visitors back if local administrations are committed to maintaining a safe distance alongside coronavirus preventive measures in place according to health recommendations.
Checkpoints set up at gateways to Quang Ninh were asked to work around the clock to check travelers’ body temperature, except for health declarations to avoid traffic congestion.
Quang Ninh suspended receiving travelers to Ha Long Bay and other tourist destinations as of 12.00 pm on March 12 after a number of COVID-19 patients were confirmed in the province.
