They are patients numbered 170 and 166, who have been treated at Kim Son District General Hospital in the northern province of Ninh Binh.
The pair will be medically monitored for the next 14 days as currently regulated, the Steering Committee said.
As of 6 pm on the same day, the patient tally remained unchanged at 271, including 131 imported cases. The country has gone 18 days without new community transmission cases of the virus.
The current 50 active cases include three sickest patients numbered 19, 91, 161 being treated at the Hospitals for Tropical Diseases in Ha Noi and Ho Chi Minh City.
Patient 91 is a British pilot who has tested negative for the virus over the past four days but still remained in critical condition.
