Top Cuban legislator Esteban Lazo Hernández to visit Vietnam
WVR - According to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, President of the National Assembly of People's Power and President of the Council of State of the Republic of Cuba Esteban Lazo Hernández will pay an official visit to Vietnam.

At the invitation of Chairman of the National Assembly Tran Thanh Man, President of the National Assembly of People's Power and President of the Council of State of Cuba Esteban Lazo Hernández will pay an official visit to Vietnam and co-chair the second session of the Vietnam-Cuba Inter-Parliamentary Cooperation Committee from September 30 to October 5, 2025.
In his capacity as President of the National Assembly, Esteban Lazo Hernández officially visited Vietnam in June 2017 and made a working visit in November 2024.
He represented the leadership of the Party, State, Government, and people of Cuba in visiting Vietnam for the 50th anniversary of President Fidel Castro's visit to Quang Tri in September 2023 and attended the funeral of General Secretary Nguyen Phu Trong in July 2024.
Esteban Lazo Hernández has a deep affection for Vietnam, admires its history of national liberation struggle and Renovation achievements, and is committed to enhancing parliamentary cooperation between the two countries, contributing to the special friendship between Vietnam and Cuba.
In April 2023, Esteban Lazo Hernández was awarded the Ho Chi Minh Order during the official visit to Cuba by the Chairman of the National Assembly of Vietnam.
