Hearing that a man fishing in the Ky Ha port area (Quang Nam) had slipped into the sea, the Region 2 Coast Guard Command quickly deployed search and rescue forces.
At 2:00 pm on November 29, when the boat QNa 00597 TS, captained by Mr. Nguyen Van Thanh (born in 1970, residing in Tam Tien commune, Nui Thanh district, Quang Nam province), was fishing in the area 6 nautical miles away from Ky Ha port (Quang Nam), Mr. Thanh slipped and fell into the sea.

Immediately upon receiving news of the accident, the Coast Guard Region 2 Command mobilized boat 701/Squadron 21 to coordinate with more than 20 vehicles from the forces of Quang Nam authorities to participate in searching for victims.
At 10:05 am on November 30, search and rescue forces found the victim's body about 2 nautical miles from buoy number 0 at Ky Ha port. Boat 701 assisted the fishing boat QNa 00597 TS to bring the victim ashore and hand over the body to the family.
The leaders of Coast Guard Region 2 Command visited his family who live in Long Thanh village, Tam Tien commune, Nui Thanh district, to encourage them to quickly overcome their sadness and continue to stabilize their lives.
