State President's Friendship Medal awarded to AstraZeneca Vietnam Chairman

AstraZeneca Vietnam Chairman and General Director Nitin Kapoor has been bestowed with the Friendship Medal by the President of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam.

This prestigious accolade announced by Vietnamese Ambassador to the UK Nguyen Hoang Long, adding to the festive cheer of the Vietnam - UK Friendship Year 2023.

The award is a recognition of Mr. Kapoor's extraordinary leadership and and pivotal role in bolstering the Vietnamese government's efforts during the COVID-19 pandemic and in the pursuit of ongoing healthcare improvements.

The announcement was made in a warm and celebratory setting, attended by prominent figures and numerous members of the Vietnamese community in the UK, embracing the joyous spirit of Christmas and the New Year.

Ambassador Nguyen Hoang Long praised Mr. Kapoor for his unwavering dedication and significant expertise, which have greatly enhanced the healthcare sector's growth and sustainable development in Vietnam since he assumed leadership in 2018.
