Head of the Central Economic Commission Tran Tuan Anh has asked the Party organisation of the bloc of central enterprises to promote their role in ensuring macroeconomic stability and social security.

Anh, who is also a Politburo member, made the request during a meeting to review the bloc’s activities in 2021 and outline the tasks for 2022.

The Party official also requested that such enterprises address the obstacles to their business activities and ensure jobs and incomes for their employees.

According to the bloc’s Party Secretary Nguyen Long Hai, the total revenue of enterprises in the bloc in 2021 exceeded the target by 43.5%, rising 8% against 2020, while their profits surged by 27.2%.

Enterprises in the bloc also supported the fight against COVID-19 by donating money and medical equipment to hospitals and localities that have been severely hit by the epidemic.
