The event is called Truong Sa Archipelago - DK1 platform in the East Sea through the Lens (in Vietnamese: Trường Sa - Nhà Giàn Qua Ống Kính Nhiếp Ảnh).
It features 90 photos taken during Trung’s five trips to the archipelago. His latest trip was taken from May 11 to 19.
The photos portray the beauty of Truong Sa and the daily activities of the soldiers who are protecting the country’s sovereignty over the sea and islands.
Each work is lively and brings viewers a feeling that Truong Sa is so close to them that they can just open a window, and see, touch and feel.

“I hope my exhibition on Truong Sa will help to spread love for Truong Sa and bring the islands closer to the people on the mainland,” said Trung, chairman of HCM City Photography Association.
“I hope viewers, particularly youngsters, will improve their patriotism, national unity and a sense of responsibility after watching,” he said.
Trung said he was extremely lucky to join the delegation to Truong Sa Island District in south-central Khanh Hoa Province last month. “I gained new experiences from my trip. I felt proud when I saw people and soldiers salute the national flag in Truong Sa,” he said.
Trung, who is also a reporter, has also released a photo book featuring 200 photos capturing the beauty of the island district, DK1 platform, and soldiers in daily life.
His book is printed and distributed by the Thanh Nien Publishing House.
The exhibition opens at 122 Suong Nguyet Anh Street, District 1. It will close on July 18.
