Party chief welcomes New Year with Ha Noi’s residents

General Secretary of the Communist Party of Vietnam Nguyen Phu Trong on the night of February 15 (the last day of the last lunar month) visited and extended Tet (Lunar New Year) greetings to Ha Noi’s Party Committee, authorities and people.

Talking to the city leaders, the Party chief praised the city for the achievements it has made over the past year, wishing that Ha Noi will further develop and reap even greater attainments, deserving a capital of multi-thousand-year civilization, a heroic city and the heart of the nation. 

On the occasion of the Lunar New Year, he also wished all Ha Noi residents and their families a new year of good health, happiness and prosperity.

Later, Party General Secretary Trong and leaders of Ha Noi offered incense at the Statue of King Ly Thai To to pay tribute to the King, other national ancestors and martyrs who made every effort to construct and defence the nation.

The Party chief also offered incense at Ngoc Son Temple and walked around Hoan Kiem Lake to share New Year joys with people of all strata in the capital city. He extended the best wishes to workers of the Ha Noi Green Tree and Park Company, older people and children who were present here to welcome the New Year.
