The Ministry of Public Security on October 19 broke ground on the PVF Stadium, a 60,000-seat facility featuring a state-of-the-art retractable roof, in Hung Yen province.

The groundbreaking ceremony was attended by Party General Secretary To Lam and several Politburo members.

Located within the PVF Youth Football Training Centre in Nghia Tru commune, the stadium is funded by the Ministry of Public Security, with Vinhomes JSC - a subsidiary of Vingroup -serving as the main contractor. More than just a venue for cultural and sporting events of the People's Public Security forces, the stadium is envisioned as a new national symbol of international stature, reflecting Vietnam’s aspirations in the era of national rise.

Speaking at the ceremony, General Luong Tam Quang, Minister of Public Security, emphasised that the PVF Stadium is a key infrastructure project that translates the strategic vision of the Party and State, particularly the guidance of Party General Secretary To Lam, into action, fostering comprehensive human development and building a strong nation.

Designed to meet and exceed international standards, the facility is expected to become a hub for sports, culture, and tourism both nationally and regionally. It will be capable of hosting major global events such as the Asian Games (Asiad), the Olympic Games, and the FIFA World Cup.

The stadium complex will include the main arena, training grounds, a rehabilitation centre, and dedicated zones for commercial, recreational, and public sports activities. It aims to create a dynamic, health-oriented environment for all age groups while promoting the nationwide fitness movement inspired by President Ho Chi Minh’s teachings.

In addition to sports, the PVF Stadium will serve as a modern cultural and entertainment centre, hosting large-scale concerts, festivals, and artistic events. The project is expected to attract investment, foster integration, enhance the spiritual and cultural life of citizens, and contribute to balanced social development. With comprehensive support infrastructure, including accommodation, dining, and shopping, the stadium will also be an attractive destination for sports tourism and international gatherings.

Covering more than 55,000 square metres, the stadium will feature four main stands (A, B, C, and D), along with dedicated areas for technical operations, security, media, broadcasting, athletes, VIPs, and catering. The complex will also include an outdoor plaza and an 18-hectare modern parking area.
