This year’s summer camp is expected to attract 120 overseas Vietnamese from different nations, including the US, Canada, the UK, Belgium, Russia, Germany, Japan, China, Indonesia and Algeria. They will embark on a sightseeing tour to learn about Vietnam’s culture, history and language.
Some of the destinations on the tour are Cuc Phuong National Park, Kim Lien relic site, Phong Nha Ke Bang National Park, Vinh Moc tunnel, Hue Imperial Citadel (Dai Noi), Thien Mu pagoda, Wooden Cathedral, Kon Tum Museum, Communal House KonK’lor, and Don hamlet.
The summer camp will begin at the Hung Temple in the northern province of Ph Tho on July 12 and wind up in Buon Me Thuot city in the central highland province of Dak Lak on July 25.
Since 2004, the event organized by the State Committee for Overseas Vietnamese Affairs, has drawn the participation of nearly 2,000 Vietnamese youth.
