Promoting academic cooperation
This project marks a milestone in educational exchanges between Mexico and Vietnam, it is part of the collaboration agreement established between University of Hanoi and the National Autonomous University of Mexico and has had the support of the Embassy of Mexico in Vietnam for its realization. It is worth mentioning that this is the first UNAM Corner to be installed in Southeast Asia.
The inauguration ceremony of the UNAM Corner will take place at 10:30 am on April 11 at the University of Hanoi, with the presence of distinguished representatives from the academic and diplomatic community, as well as university authorities.
Ambassador of Mexico to Vietnam Alejandro Negrín, mentioned that "the opening of the UNAM Corner marks an important milestone in bilateral relations. This space represents a clear example of the importance of bilateral relations and the existing potential for educational cooperation between both countries. I am sure that the UNAM Corner will enrich the educational experience of Vietnamese students and further strengthen the friendship between our countries."
Adalberto Noyola, director of the UNAM representation based in Asia, commented that "the establishment of the UNAM Corner is a significant step in our commitment to promote and share knowledge. This space will provide students access to a wide range of academic resources from UNAM, strengthening the ties between our educational institutions".
Offering digital resources
The UNAM Corner is a space that, through scanning QR codes with a mobile phone, allows the public to access digital resources and explore the academic and cultural richness of Mexico through materials such as audios, videos, photographs, books, conferences, courses, magazines, programs of scientific dissemination, educational materials, concerts, radio and television programs, available on various platforms and repositories of UNAM.
Among the resources is the Descarga Cultura UNAM platform, which offers audio files to listen to online or download complete works or fragments of Mexican, Latin American literature, as well as classics of universal literature, in the voice of their authors or narrated by announcers. Also available are conferences, concerts, talks, and master classes, among others.
The Embassy of Mexico in Vietnam reaffirms its commitment to continue promoting academic cooperation between Mexico and Vietnam, for the benefit of both university communities and the strengthening of bilateral relations.
