WVR - On August 30, alongside Vietnam's armed forces, the morning rehearsal featured parade contingents from China, Russia, Laos, and Cambodia.

During the state-level parade and march rehearsal commemorating the 80th anniversary of the August Revolution and Vietnam's National Day on September 2, following the performance by the Vietnam People's Army, contingents from China, Russia, Laos, and Cambodia made their appearance.

This marks the first time the Chinese military contingent has joined the rehearsal alongside military units from Russia, Laos, and Cambodia at Ba Dinh Square. Previously, Russian, Laotian, and Cambodian contingents participated in a preliminary rehearsal on August 27.

After marching past the podium in front of Ho Chi Minh Mausoleum, soldiers from China, Russia, Laos, and Cambodia proceeded along Hung Vuong Street, then turned towards Nguyen Thai Hoc – Trang Thi – Trang Tien – August Revolution Square.

This is the second time China has sent forces to participate in a parade in Vietnam, the first being the parade commemorating the 50th anniversary of the Liberation of the South and national reunification in April 2025.

Over the past 70 years, the unit has successfully completed more than 13,000 missions. The Chinese People's Liberation Army and the People's Army of Vietnam foster a relationship of “both comrades and brothers”.

The Russian Federation National Flag Contingent is escorted by an honor guard representing the three branches of the Russian Federation’s Armed Forces: the Army, the Aerospace Forces, and the Navy. The honor guard is commanded by Lieutenant Anton Mikhailov.

The Lao People's Army is the main armed force of the Laotian national revolution. During the struggles for national liberation, the armies of Vietnam and Laos stood shoulder to shoulder, defeating invaders.

Today, the Lao People's Army is comprehensively developed in all aspects. The Vietnam-Laos relationship continues to strengthen, contributing to the great friendship, special solidarity, and comprehensive cooperation.

The Lao military contingent consists of 114 soldiers. This is the second time this year that Laos has sent forces to participate in a parade in Vietnam.

Among the 114 soldiers this time, some have participated in the parade commemorating the 50th anniversary of Vietnam's reunification and the parade on Red Square (Russia).

The Royal Cambodian Armed Forces contingent includes 104 soldiers.

This is also the second time the Royal Cambodian Armed Forces have sent troops to participate in a parade in Vietnam, the first being the parade commemorating the 50th anniversary of national reunification.

Cambodia and Vietnam have always stood side by side, fighting for independence and freedom. Today, the armies of both countries continue to strengthen their friendship and comprehensive cooperation, contributing to the protection of independence and territorial integrity under the motto “good neighbours, traditional friendship, comprehensive cooperation, long-lasting sustainability”.
