NAVITA: The perfect combination of Eastern and Western medicine

Western medicine always focuses on diseases, either eliminate pathogens (antibiotics), or treat the symptoms and other ailments as they arise (medicines for diabetes, blood pressure). In 1999, based on the nomination of the Vietnamese Ministry of Education and Training, Pham Truong Son, Ph.D. in Pharmaceutical Chemistry, has successfully completed his study and research at Budapest University of Technology and Economics. Since 2010, he has been employed as an honorary senior research fellow at the Hungarian Academy of Sciences for his outstanding achievements such as a special award at the National Research Competition Hungary (2007), and first prize at the International Chemistry Conference in Romania (2008).

Thanks to the exposure to Eastern medicine during 18 years living in Viet Nam, a country which has a long and rich tradition and history of using herbs to protect people's health, he has accumulated immense experience. In addition, he has worked and studied in Hungary for more than 20 years. Hence, Dr. Pham Truong Son has set a clear direction for his career - combining the essence of Eastern and Western medicine.

Pham Truong Son and his Hungarian colleagues have selected precious Eastern herbs such as Cordyceps sinensis, Ganoderma lucidum, seaweed, and combined these herbs with Western temperate fruits such as black grapes, strawberries, apples, cherries and cranberries..., and studied the separation of medicinal substances. From these herbs, scientists have found a way to treat diseases, which is not only backed by Eastern medical philosophy but also confirmed by Western scientific research.

In 2015, NAVITA, a high-tech pharmaceutical company, was established based on the research achievement of Hungarian Academy of Sciences and University of Pécs Medical School, Hungary.
