In a recent article, the newspaper highlighted the growing efforts by both Russian and Vietnamese lawmakers to strengthen cooperation.
It said Man, who took office in May, vowed to expand parliamentary relations, considering it a key task. His Russia visit is of great significance as it aligns with a programme to expand relations initiated during Russian President Vladimir Putin's visit to Hanoi in June.
After talks between President Putin and Vietnam’s Party General Secretary and President To Lam, both sides signed a joint declaration aimed at deepening their comprehensive strategic partnership. The declaration also emphasised the importance of expanding parliamentary cooperation.
In Moscow, Man is expected to meet with leaders of the Federation Council, State Duma, Government and possibly the Kremlin. One of the focuses of their discussions will be promoting activities of the Vietnam-Russia Inter-Parliamentary Cooperation Committee (ICC), which was established in 2018 to boost business ties.
During the visit, the Vietnamese leader will co-chair the third meeting of the ICC, which plays a crucial role in fostering cooperation in various sectors, including energy, transportation, information technology, and higher education.
