NA’s extraordinary session looks into draft resolution on fiscal, monetary policies

Legislators on January 7 debated online a draft resolution on fiscal and monetary policies to support the program on socio-economic recovery and development, as part of the first extraordinary session of the 15th National Assembly.

Most of them agreed on the need to issue the resolution, saying it demonstrates the hope of people and businesses for a better future.

Minister of Finance Ho Duc Phoc, Governor of the State Bank of Viet Nam (SBV) Nguyen Thi Hong and Minister of Planning and Investment Nguyen Chi Dung cleared up issues of deputies’ concern.

During the working session, the lawmakers also looked into a draft resolution on the pilot application of special mechanisms and policies for the development of Can Tho city.

They shared the view that the resolution would help Can Tho fully tap its potential and strengths, while developing on par with other localities that are also allowed to pilot some special mechanisms and policies.
