On June 22, right after the welcome ceremony for the Cuban guests, the two Ministers held talks during which Defence Minister Giang affirmed that the Party, State, people and People's Army of Vietnam will never forget Cuba's support and assistance during the most difficult period of the struggle for national liberation in the past as well as in the nation building cause at present.
"Vietnam will always stand shoulder to shoulder with and support Cuba on the path of building and developing a beautiful and heroic country," he said.

Corps General Álvaro López Miera thanked Vietnam for always assisting his country, and stressed the importance of the relations between the two countries in general and the two armies in particular.
He expressed his hope that the two sides will maintain and strengthen cooperation, with focus on exchanging delegations at all levels and experts. He affirmed that he will do his best to contribute to deepening the bilateral relations.
The two ministers agreed to focus collaboration in professional experience exchange, defence industry, human resources training, military medicine, Party and political affairs.
They then signed a cooperation plan for the 2023-2025 period.
