Speaking at the opening ceremony on March 16, VFF Technical Director Koshida Takeshi said this course serves as a stepping stone for aspiring coaches transitioning from playing and local club training roles. By equipping them with fundamental coaching expertise, the programme aims to enhance player development at both amateur and professional levels.

Trainees will gain foundational theoretical knowledge on coaching methods for both amateur and professional football, tactical strategies for attack and defence, goalkeeper training, team and group management, fair-play principles, and age-specific coaching techniques.

The course also covers experience-sharing sessions on youth team training, tournament organisation, women’s football coaching, first aid, and sports medicine. Beyond theoretical lessons, participants will engage in on-field practical training, ensuring a well-rounded understanding of the AFC C-level coaching certification requirements.

Following the opening ceremony, renowned instructor and coach Le Huynh Duc led the first session, equipping trainees with essential coaching knowledge and early exposure to their new roles.

The AFC C/VFF coaching certification course runs from March 16-28 in Ha Nam province. Participants with excellent performance will be awarded the official AFC C-level coaching certificate by VFF.
