'India at 75' - A special webinar celebrating the 75th Independence Day of India

The Embassy of India in Ha Noi will be observing the 75th Independence Day of India on August 15 through a series of virtual events.

This year’s Independence Day will be a special day, as it will mark the beginning of 75 years of India’s journey as a modern, independent nation.

It is also significant that during this year-long commemoration of India’s 75th year of Independence, we will also be reaching another major milestone – the 50th anniversary of the establishment of India-Viet Nam diplomatic relations in January 2022.

As one of the key signature events of our yearlong celebration, the Embassy is organising a special webinar on the theme “India At 75” on August 12 with the proposed participation of representatives of the Government of Viet Nam, members of thinktanks, Indian diaspora, and Friendship Organizations in Viet Nam to share their thoughts about India’s development journey and discuss ways to strengthen the India-Viet Nam Comprehensive Strategic Partnership and its contributions to peace and prosperity in the region and beyond.

A number of socio-cultural organisations in Viet Nam, including, VUFO, VIFA, Viet Nam Buddhist Sangha, Viet Nam Institute for Indian and Southwest Asian Study of Viet Nam Academy of Social Sciences, Centre for Indian Study at Ho Chi Minh National Academy of Politics, University of Social Sciences and Humanities, Indian Business Chamber in Ha Noi, will be participating in the Webinar.

To mark the 50th year of the establishment of the diplomatic relations between India and Viet Nam, in January 2022, the Embassy of India in association with relevant organizations of Government of Viet Nam, also plans to organise a series of special commemorative events.
