Responding to the 3rd National Green Sunday and implementing the program "Million green trees - For a green Vietnam", on July 24, the Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union organized a launch of urban tree planting in Ho Chi Minh City.
Participating in the program, the delegates and all union members, youth and people planted 500 new trees in 3 wards: Hiep Thanh, An Phu Dong, Tan Chanh Hiep in District 12. Besides, other situations Volunteers also participated in cleaning and renovating more than 700m of Tu Vung canal (An Phu Dong ward, District 12).
The program "Million trees - For a green Vietnam" was organized to raise awareness of union members, youth and people about the role of forests, issues of forest protection, water resources and environment. climate change response and community cohesion.
Within the framework of the program, in addition to planting 60,000 new trees in watershed forests in Dak Lak and Dak Nong, the program also organizes new tree planting activities in urban areas with the desire to create more green areas. in urban areas, spreading positive messages about green environment.
