100,000 doses of AstraZeneca COVID-19 vaccine donated by the Hungarian government in September 2021.

The press release quoted Foreign Affairs and Trade Minister of Hungary Péter Szijjártó as saying that Hungary was grateful for the medical equipment it received from Viet Nam during the first wave of the COVID-19 pandemic.

Supporting a good friend going through a tough time is always a top priority, stated Szijjártó.

In the spirit of partnership, Hungary freed up and sold 400,000 doses of AstraZeneca vaccine to Viet Nam before donating another 100,000 doses of AstraZeneca COVID-19 vaccine and 100,000 antigen test kits to support Viet Nam in its battle against the pandemic.

With the new shipment, Hungary has sent Viet Nam enough COVID-19 jabs to inoculate 656,000 people in Viet Nam, the Minister added.
