General Secretary To Lam chairs press conference: 14th National Party Congress achieves great success, high consensus on documents, action rograms
WVR - On the afternoon of January 23, immediately after the closing of the 14th National Congress of the Party, the Party Central Committee's Commission for Information, Education and Mass Mobiliaation and the Press Center of the 14th National Party Congress organized an international press conference to announce the results of the 14th Congress. Also in attendance were Politburo members: Tran Cam Tu, Standing Member of the Secretariat; Le Minh Hung, Party Central Committee Secretary, Head of the Central Organization Committee; Trinh Van Quyet, Party Central Committee Secretary, Head of the Commission for Information, Education and Mass Mobilisation; Le Hoai Trung, Minister of Foreign Affairs; Pham Gia Tuc, Party Central Committee Secretary, Chief of the Party Central Office; Doan Minh Huan, Party Central Committee Secretary, Standing Deputy Director of the Ho Chi Minh National Academy of Politics; Lam Thi Phuong Thanh, Party Central Committee Member, Permanent Deputy Minister of Culture, Sports and Tourism; along with Party Central Committee members, representatives of central departments, ministries, agencies, and over 700 journalists from domestic and international news agencies, radio, and television stations.
Speaking at the press conference, General Secretary To Lam expressed gratitude to journalists from news agencies for covering the Congress, helping people nationwide and overseas Vietnamese, as well as international friends, to promptly grasp the developments, situation, and success of the 14th National Congress of the Communist Party of Vietnam.
On behalf of the Presidium of the Congress and the 14th Party Central Committee of the Communist Party of Vietnam, the General Secretary affirmed that the 14th National Congress of the Communist Party of Vietnam was a resounding success. It marked a milestone in the 96-year history of the Communist Party of Vietnam and the thousand-year cultural and heroic flow of the Vietnamese nation.
The General Secretary summarized the keywords of the 14th Congress: "unity, democracy, discipline, breakthrough, development, responsibility, dedication, intelligence, science, for the people, strategic autonomy, resilience, confidence, national pride, for a peaceful, independent, democratic, prosperous, civilized, and happy Vietnam, steadily advancing towards socialism". This reflects the success of the Congress as well as the new and fundamental decisions made at the 14th National Party Congress.

"The 14th National Party Congress was truly a Congress of unity and consensus, reflecting the will, courage, aspiration, determination, and cultural strength of the Vietnamese nation and the Communist Party of Vietnam in the new phase of national development," the General Secretary emphasized, once again thanking domestic and international journalists for effectively conveying the spirit, momentum, and content of the Congress to the entire Vietnamese people and international friends.
The General Secretary highlighted that the 14th Congress not only achieved high consensus on the content of the documents and action programs but also on the personnel selection for the 14th Party Central Committee of the Communist Party of Vietnam. The Congress elected a Party Central Committee consisting of 200 members, including 180 official members and 20 alternate members. Subsequently, the Party Central Committee elected the Politburo, the Secretariat, the General Secretary, and the Party's leadership bodies such as the Central Inspection Commission, the Chairman of the Central Inspection Commission, and assigned Politburo and Secretariat members to various tasks.
"The 14th National Central Committee members are exemplary representatives of approximately 5.6 million Communist Party of Vietnam members, meeting the standards of ethical qualities, reputation, capacity, and qualifications, and were highly trusted by the Congress to be elected to the Party's leadership bodies between two Congresses to shoulder the responsibilities before the Party and the people in the new revolutionary phase," the General Secretary affirmed.

Providing additional information about the Congress results, the General Secretary stated that the Congress aimed to build a Party Central Committee, Politburo, and Secretariat, especially the Party and State leaders of the 14th term, as a clean, strong, truly united collective with high consensus in will and action, demonstrating pioneering, exemplary, combative, action-oriented, disciplined qualities, and a willingness to sacrifice for the noble cause of the Party, for the prosperous and happy life of the people.
The Congress also unanimously made historic decisions to successfully achieve the two strategic 100-year goals identified by the 13th Party Congress.
The General Secretary expressed confidence that with the historical roots of the nation, the rich tradition of nearly a century of leadership by the Communist Party of Vietnam, the support, unity, and consensus of the entire people, and the encouragement, cooperation of many international friends and progressive people worldwide, we will certainly successfully implement the Resolution of the 14th National Congress of the Party, and build a peaceful, independent, democratic, prosperous, civilized, and happy socialist Vietnam.
At the press conference, General Secretary To Lam answered questions from domestic and international journalists regarding the important outcomes of the 14th National Party Congress.
On behalf of the Party Central Committee's Commission for Information, Education and Mass Mobilisation , Politburo Member, Party Central Committee Secretary, Head of the Commission for Information, Education and Mass Mobilisation Trinh Van Quyet expressed gratitude to the General Secretary, and the attention, coordination, and positive contributions of agencies, organizations, and journalists both domestically and internationally.

Politburo menber Trinh Van Quyet emphasized that the press conference is a forum for dialogue and communication, clearly reflecting the proactive, transparent, responsible, and consistent spirit of the Communist Party of Vietnam in providing official, timely, and comprehensive information on the country's development policies, directions, and vision. Through frank, open, and friendly exchanges and Q&A, the General Secretary promptly shared some new and core contents of the 14th National Party Congress Documents; at the same time, reaffirmed the high political determination of the Party, State, and Vietnamese people in successfully achieving rapid, sustainable development goals, building a prosperous and happy country, maintaining independence, sovereignty, territorial integrity, and actively and effectively integrating into the international community.
"Immediately after today's press conference, the Commission for Information, Education and Mass Mobilisation will continue to direct relevant agencies to enhance information and communication about the 14th National Party Congress, ensuring accurate, timely, vivid, and persuasive information, contributing to strengthening people's trust and increasing international friends' understanding and support for the revolutionary cause of the Party and the Vietnamese people," Politburo member, Head of the Commission Trinh Van Quyet emphasized.
He urged news agencies and journalists to closely follow the orientation, intensify information and communication about the objectives, tasks, solutions, and action programs to implement the Resolution of the 14th National Party Congress, conveying the spirit, momentum, and important strategic decisions of the Congress to the entire Party, people, army, and international friends, creating consensus and widespread dissemination so that people understand correctly, trust absolutely, and unanimously support, harnessing the great unity of the entire nation and the precious support of international friends for the cause of building and defending Vietnam in the new era.
