On May 5, at the invitation of the Prime Minister of the Republic of India Narendra Modi, General Secretary of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of Vietnam, President of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam To Lam, along with a high-ranking Vietnamese delegation, departed from the capital Hanoi for a state visit to the Republic of India from May 5 to 7. 2026.
The delegation includes Nguyen Duy Ngoc, Politburo Member, Secretary of the Party Central Committee, Head of the Party Central Committee's Organization Commission; Nguyen Thanh Nghi, Politburo Member, Secretary of the Party Central Committee, Head of the Party Central Committee's Commission for Policies and Strategies; General Phan Van Giang, Politburo Member, Deputy Prime Minister, Minister of National Defense; General Luong Tam Quang, Politburo Member, Minister of Public Security; Le Hoai Trung, Politburo Member, Minister of Foreign Affairs; Tran Luu Quang, Politburo Member, Secretary of the Ho Chi Minh City Party Committee; Nguyen Hai Ninh, Party Central Committee Member, Chief of the Party Central Committee Office; Nguyen Doan Anh, Party Central Committee Member, Vice Chairman of the National Assembly; Le Khanh Hai, Party Central Committee Member, Chief of the Presidential Office; Ngo Van Tuan, Party Central Committee Member, Minister of Finance; Vu Hai Quan, Party Central Committee Member, Minister of Science and Technology; Dao Hong Lan, Party Central Committee Member, Minister of Health; Le Manh Hung, Party Central Committee Member, Minister of Industry and Trade; To An Xo, Assistant to the General Secretary, President, Head of the General Secretary's Office; Nguyen Thanh Hai, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Vietnam to India.
