The latest update of COVID-19 situation in Vietnam.

Patient 242 is a 47-year old man from Me Linh District of Ha Noi.

On March 12, he accompanied his wife to Bach Mai Hospital for a medical check and returned home the same day.

He went to his commune’s medical station for medical declaration on March 30 and was asked to isolate himself at home.

The man did not show the disease symptoms until April 4 when he had his sample tested by the Ha Noi Center for Disease Control.

He is being treated at the Central Hospital for Tropical Diseases in Dong Anh District.

Patient 243 is a 34-year old woman from Cam Xuyen District of the central province of Ha Tinh.

She has been living and working in Russia and returned to Vietnam on March 25 on flight SU290.

Upon her arrival, she was taken to a centralized quarantine facility in Ha Noi’s Thach That District.

She got her sample tested on April 5 and is being treated at the Central Hospital for Tropical Diseases in Dong Anh District.

Patient 244 is a 44-year old woman from Duc Trach Commune, Bo Trach District of the central province of Quang Binh.

She landed in Noi Bai International Airport on March 25 on flight SU2313 from Germany and was immediately taken to a centralized quarantine facility in Ha Noi’s Thach That District.

She is being treated at the Central Hospital for Tropical Diseases in Dong Anh District.

Patient 245 is a 21-year old woman from Quynh Luu District of the central province of Nghe An.

She flew to Ha Noi on March 24 on flight SU250 from Spain after transiting in Russia and was immediately taken to a centralized quarantine facility in Ha Noi’s Thach That District.

She is being treated at the Central Hospital for Tropical Diseases in Dong Anh District.

Of the total infection cases confirmed so far, 153 are imported cases, accounting for 62.4%. 95 patients have been cleared of the virus and exited hospitals.

As many as 67,273 people have been quarantined as of 6 pm on April 5, reported the Ministry of Health.
