Following reports of the U.S. attack on Venezuela on January 3, Vietnamese Ambassador to Venezuela Vu Trung My confirmed that all Vietnamese citizens in Venezuela are currently safe.

Continuing to update on the situation of Vietnamese citizens in Venezuela, Ambassador Vu Trung My announced that the embassy has established an emergency contact channel to provide updates following the U.S. attack on January 3, 2026.

The ambassador confirmed that 29 staff members of representative agencies and their families, along with two Vietnamese construction engineers working in Venezuela and two Vietnamese expatriates, are all safe.

The Embassy advises citizens not to leave their residences and to continuously update their status through the emergency contact channel. The citizen protection phone number in Venezuela is: ( 58)4242211016.
