During the meeting, Minister Ahmed Rostom warmly welcomed Ambassador Nguyen Nam Duong and highly appreciated the socio-economic development achievements Vietnam has made in recent years.
The Minister expressed a keen interest in Vietnam's growth model, particularly its experience in maintaining rapid and sustainable growth. He also expressed a desire to learn from Vietnam's experience in long-term development strategy building, public investment management, and promoting the role of the private sector.
On the Vietnamese side, Ambassador Nguyen Nam Duong stated that Vietnam is entering a new era with the goal of becoming a developed, high-income country by 2045. Vietnam places great importance on strengthening relations with Egypt, especially as the two countries have a strong historical foundation and have recently upgraded their relationship to a Comprehensive Partnership.
The Ambassador affirmed that Vietnam is ready to share its experiences and collaborate with Egypt in implementing specific, substantive, and highly committed cooperative activities.
During the meeting, both sides engaged in deep discussions on potential areas of cooperation, emphasizing the importance of sharing policy-making experiences, building monitoring and evaluation systems, and mobilizing resources for development.
The Ministry of Planning and Economic Development of Egypt expressed a desire to connect with relevant Vietnamese agencies and proposed moving towards establishing appropriate cooperative frameworks.
