Deputy Prime Minister Le Tien Chau expressed his pleasure at the increasingly positive and substantive development of the Vietnam-Japan Comprehensive Strategic Partnership, as well as the close cooperation between the parliaments of the two countries. He highly appreciated Japan's continued role as Vietnam's leading economic cooperation partner, being the number one partner in ODA and labor, third in investment, and fourth in trade and tourism. Local cooperation and people-to-people exchanges are becoming increasingly close.

Expressing appreciation for the support extended by the Speaker of the House, the Japanese Parliament, and the Japan-Vietnam Parliamentary Friendship Alliance in recent times, Deputy Prime Minister Le Tien Chau conveyed the greetings and invitation to visit Vietnam soon from Chairman of the National Assembly Tran Thanh Man to Speaker Mori Eisuke.

The Deputy Prime Minister affirmed that Vietnam always regards Japan as one of its most important partners, a sincere and trustworthy friend, and a companion in the new era of development.

Sharing Vietnam's two centennial goals to become a developed, high-income country by 2045 and achieve double-digit growth, the Deputy Prime Minister suggested that the two countries continue to strengthen political trust, maintain high-level exchanges, and promote the role of legislative bodies to facilitate the effective implementation of high-level agreements. He also emphasized creating a favorable legal corridor to boost bilateral economic cooperation, enhancing exchanges between specialized committees of the parliaments and between the two Ministries of Justice, and strengthening cooperation in developing high-quality human resources, local cooperation, and people-to-people exchanges. Coordination in sharing positions and cooperation on regional and international issues of mutual concern was also highlighted.

The Deputy Prime Minister also proposed that the Japanese Parliament support the continued simplification of procedures and move towards visa exemption for Vietnamese citizens to promote tourism cooperation and people-to-people exchanges between the two countries. He urged Japan to continue facilitating the nearly 700,000 Vietnamese community working and studying in Japan.
