The new White Book focuses on the potential of economic development in Vietnam, especially the two pressing issues that ensure Vietnam’s success in the next development phase: the EVFTA and the 4th Industrial Revolution. Solving these two issues altogether will help Vietnam integrate more deeply into the global economy and the international community.
EuroCham Co-President Nicolas Audier shared that the combination of EVFTA and the 4th Industrial Revolution will help Vietnam integrate further into the global economy. Through the digitalization process of Industry 4.0, Vietnam’s position will be raised even higher: more competitive, more innovative and better prepared to seize potential opportunities. The EVFTA will promote trade and investment between the EU and Vietnam, helping consumers to have better access to a variety of high quality goods and services from Europe.
Head of the European Union Delegation in Vietnam, Ambassador Bruno Angelet also affirmed that he he will strongly support the early signing of EVFTA.
For his part, Permanent Deputy Foreign Minister Bui Thanh Son affirmed Vietnam's expectation of the early ratification of EVFTA agreement. He also suggested that the signing should take place during this term of the European Parliament.
