On the afternoon of August 21, prior to the general rehearsal for the parade marking the 80th Anniversary of the August Revolution (19/8/1945 – 19/8/2025) and Independence Day (Sepember 2), Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs Le Thi Thu Hang visited, presented gifts, and encouraged overseas Vietnamese delegates who were participating in the overseas Vietnamese contingent of the parade.
At the meeting, Deputy Minister Le Thi Thu Hang shared her joy in meeting so many overseas Vietnamese delegates who had returned from different countries to take part in this important event of the homeland. The Deputy Minister extended congratulations to the delegates, who had the honor of returning to the Fatherland and marching in the parade – an activity of great political and spiritual significance for the nation.
On behalf of the Ministry’s leadership, the Deputy Minister highly appreciated the enthusiasm and dedication of the overseas Vietnamese during their participation in the rehearsals. She also encouraged the delegates to continue upholding solidarity, maintain discipline during training, ensure good health, and successfully fulfill their assigned tasks, contributing to the overall success of the ceremony.
The presence of the overseas Vietnamese contingent in this year’s parade demonstrates the profound affection and enduring connection of the Vietnamese community abroad with their homeland. It also affirms the strength of great national unity, especially on the occasion of commemorating these historic milestones of the nation.
