The Dubai Airshow 2025 is one of the world's leading international aviation exhibitions, gathering nearly 1,500 exhibitors from 98 countries, with almost 200 aircraft on impressive display. The exhibition also showcases the latest advancements in aviation and defense technology.
The participation of Vietnam's Ministry of National Defense in the exhibition demonstrates its interest in international cooperation in the defense industry, affirming that the Government and the Ministry of National Defense of Vietnam always facilitate the enhancement of international exchange and cooperation in the defense industry based on principles of equality, mutual benefit, and respect for Vietnamese law and other international commitments.
At the exhibition, Senior Lieutenant General Hoang Xuan Chien and the delegation visited booths and engaged with defense enterprises from the UAE and several other countries. He proposed that countries and Vietnam promote exchanges and explore potential cooperation, aligning with each side's capabilities, and agreed on directions to advance defense industry cooperation in the future.
During the visit and work in the UAE, attending the Dubai Airshow 2025, on November 17, Senior Lieutenant General Hoang Xuan Chien witnessed the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding between Viettel Military Industry and Telecoms Group and UAE's EDGE Group.

The recently signed Memorandum of Understanding establishes a solid foundation for extensive cooperation potential in high-tech defense industry sectors.
The memorandum also outlines a roadmap for joint initiatives of mutual interest, including the potential development of original equipment manufacturing models in Vietnam for components and modules connected with EDGE product lines, targeting the UAE and other export markets, expanding opportunities for research, exchange, technology transfer, and technology training cooperation.
Senior Lieutenant General Hoang Xuan Chien congratulated Viettel and EDGE on signing the Memorandum of Understanding and suggested that both parties maintain communication and closely coordinate to concretize the agreed contents, while also developing plans to implement specific cooperation activities in key areas in the near future.
