The content focused on introducing ship owners, captains, and fishermen to Directive 45/CT-TTg dated December 13, 2017, by the Prime Minister. This directive outlines “Urgent tasks and solutions to address the European Commission's warning on combating illegal, unreported, and unregulated fishing” (IUU). It also covered the results of shipyard and fishing village activities in the Truong Sa Special Zone and the program “Vietnam Navy as a Support for Fishermen to Reach Out to Sea”.
During the conferences, the squadron donated 240 national flags, 240 personal life jackets, and 240 gift packages valued at over 40 million VND to support fishermen ahead of the Binh Ngo Lunar New Year 2026. This initiative is part of the Quang Trung campaign, aimed at assisting fishermen in difficult circumstances to stabilize their lives after the impacts of typhoons and floods in 2025.
