A RT-PCR test on March 3 showed the Korean manager had contracted the virus upon returning from the Binh Dinh FC vs Viettel FC match, local media outlets reported.

Park who has received three doses of vaccines is now placed in quarantine and he is in stable health condition, said sources.

Park, his assistants and officials of the Vietnam Football Federation (VFF) have already completed coming training plans for the national team and U23 team.

Vietnam are scheduled to take on Oman on March 24 and Japan five days later as part of their last World Cup 2022 qualifying round.

Meanwhile, the U23 side will compete at the 31st Southeast Asian Games (SEA Games 31) to be held in Viet Nam this May, aiming to defend their championship title.

The U23 side will also take part in an international tournament – Dubai Cup 2022 – from March 20 – 30 ahead of their competition at SEA Games.

An aid to Park is expected to coach the U23 side at this tournament.
