The report, compiled from over 24,000 international traveler searches on the Expedia platform, indicates that destinations close to nature, peaceful, and more sustainable are gradually capturing the interest of travel lovers.

Leading the list is Big Sky (Montana, USA), followed by Okinawa (Japan) and Sardinia (Italy). Phu Quoc is the only Southeast Asian representative in the Top 5.

According to travel expert Melanie Fish from Expedia Group, Phu Quoc increasingly attracts international tourists thanks to its pristine natural beauty, rich marine ecosystem, and the strong development of high-end resorts and eco-friendly services.

“Phu Quoc offers visitors the perfect blend of relaxation and exploration, from snorkeling, exploring the primeval forest, to enjoying local cuisine and the vibrant atmosphere at the night market,” said Melanie Fish.

In recent years, Phu Quoc Island has continuously upgraded its infrastructure, expanded international flight routes, and focused on sustainable tourism development. This has made the island an appealing destination for both leisure travelers and nature explorers.

With recognition from international travel platforms, Phu Quoc is asserting its position as a leading destination in the region and the world, promising to continue booming in 2026.
