Providing an overview of the BSP's development and Bulgaria's recent political landscape, Chairman Atanas Zafirov introduced the BSP as the successor of the Bulgarian Communist Party, maintaining traditional friendly relations with the Communist Party of Vietnam. Appreciating the promotion of cooperation through the Intergovernmental Committee mechanism recently, Chairman Atanas Zafirov proposed that in addition to traditional cooperation areas (political-diplomatic, education-training), both sides should explore expanding cooperation in economic, trade, investment, energy, science-technology, tourism, and labor sectors. He welcomed the new visa exemption policy of the Vietnamese Government for Bulgarian citizens.
