Brief biography of Prime Minister Le Minh Hung
WVR - On the afternoon of April 7, at the National Assembly House, the 16th National Assembly (NA) elected Le Minh Hung, Politburo member, Secretary of the Party Central Committee, Chairman of the Party Central Committee's Organisation Commission, and deputy to the 16th legislature, as Prime Minister of the Government of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam for the 2026–2031 term.

With 495 out of 495 delegates voting in favor, the National Assembly passed the resolution electing Le Minh Hung, Member of the Politburo, Secretary of the Party Central Committee, and Head of the Party Central Committee's Organization Commission, as the Prime Minister of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam for the 2026-2031 term.

Immediately after the resolution was passed, the newly appointed Prime Minister Le Minh Hung performed the oath-taking ceremony. “Under the sacred red flag with a yellow star of the Fatherland, before the National Assembly and the voters nationwide, I, the Prime Minister of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam, solemnly swear: To be absolutely loyal to the Fatherland, to the people, to the Constitution of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam, and to strive to fulfill the tasks entrusted by the Party, the State, and the people,” Prime Minister Le Minh Hung pledged.
After the oath-taking ceremony, Prime Minister Le Minh Hung delivered a speech to the entire National Assembly and voters nationwide.
