The woman is a Vietnamese citizen living in London and she met with Nguyen Hong Nhung who is Ha Noi's first COVID-19 patient.
She met Nhung in London on February 2 and on March 2, she began coughing and went for medical checks.
On March 7, she started coughing a lot and learned that Nhung was tested positive for the virus in Vietnam the same day.
She went to hospital in London for medical check againt but the hospital asked her to isolate herself at home.
On March, the woman was taken on a private plane to Ho Chi Minh City where she was confirmed having the virus.
The patient has been quarantined and treated at the field hospital in Cu Chi district.
Of the total infection cases confirmed so far in Vietnam, 16 had been cleared of the virus and exited hospitals. All the rest patients have been reported over the last four days.
