Bac Ninh delegation pays tribute to Revolutionary Hoang Quoc Viet
WVR - On the morning of May 28, on the occasion of the 120th birth anniversary of revolutionary Hoang Quoc Viet (May 28, 1905 – 2025), the Bac Ninh provincial delegation, along with a large number of local residents, offered flowers and incense in remembrance at the statue of Comrade Hoang Quoc Viet (Vu Ninh Ward, Bac Ninh City, Bac Ninh Province).

The delegation was led by Standing Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee and Chairwoman of the Bac Ninh Provincial People’s Council Nguyen Huong Giang.
Also in attendance were Alternate Member of the Party Central Committee, Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, and Chairman of the Bac Ninh Provincial People’s Committee Vuong Quoc Tuan; members of the Standing Committee of the Provincial Party Committee; leaders of the People’s Council, People’s Committee, and Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Bac Ninh Province; heads of provincial and city-level departments and agencies; leaders of Dap Cau Ward; representatives of Comrade Hoang Quoc Viet’s family; and teachers and students of Hoang Quoc Viet High School.
The delegation solemnly offered flowers and incense in tribute to Comrade Hoang Quoc Viet — a steadfast communist fighter, an exemplary veteran leader of the Party and the Vietnamese revolution, an outstanding student of President Ho Chi Minh, and a distinguished son of Bac Ninh.

Throughout nearly 70 years of revolutionary activity, Comrade Hoang Quoc Viet held many important positions entrusted to him by the Party, the State, and the people, such as: Member of the Provisional Central Committee of the Communist Party of Vietnam; Secretary of the Tonkin Party Committee; Member of the Standing Committee of the Indochinese Communist Party Central Committee; Member of the Politburo of the Central Committee of the Vietnam Workers’ Party; President of the Vietnam General Confederation of Labour; Prosecutor General of the Supreme People's Procuracy; Chairman of the Presidium of the Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front; and National Assembly deputy from the 2nd to the 7th tenure.
In every position he held, Comrade Hoang Quoc Viet always fulfilled his duties with excellence. He remains a source of pride for the Party, the nation, labour unions, and his homeland of Bac Ninh.

To commemorate the 120th anniversary of his birth, Bac Ninh Province organized various seminars and meaningful, practical activities to honour and express gratitude for his tremendous contributions to the revolutionary cause of the Party and the nation.
Comrade Hoang Quoc Viet was a steadfast, upright, modest, and sincere revolutionary fighter, deeply loved and respected by the entire Party, people, and military. He will forever be a symbol of pride for the Party, Vietnamese people, and his native Bac Ninh.
Following his example, the Party Committee and people of Bac Ninh Province pledge to uphold the revolutionary tradition, foster unity and solidarity, vigorously promote patriotic emulation movements, and resolutely strive to achieve all development goals, building Bac Ninh into a prosperous, modern, and civilized province.
